Color Up!

It's interesting to see how colors can say a lot about ourselves. We use them, knowingly or not, to convey an emotion, a feeling, a mood. Some people even choose to dress exclusively in one single color. What does that say about them? Do they have a predominant character trait? Do they stick to that particular color because it flatters their skin tone?

Do they want to convey a certain message? Hard to say! But the only thing I'm sure of is it would be so hard for me to choose only one color and stick to it! Our members, too, like to mix and match, to try, to experiment with colors. And frankly, it suits them!

Color Up!

For this theme based on colors, it was only natural for Blondie Brune and HYPEED to associate! Blondie Brune creates confortable clothes in vibrant colors. You're sure to find your favorite color in their shop!

Laura T and Mireia are the lucky winners of our Blondie Brune contest, they each win a piece of clothing by Blondie Brune!

"Choosing my outfit every day and standing in front of my closet it all begins with my mood.  As you can see I was feeling happy and that definitely had an influence of my outfit. Wearing a bright pink bodycon skirt with bare legs felt good on a summer day. The sun on the skirt and the blue nail polish makes the color stand out even more."

"I find this skirt quite 'formal', I'm not used to wear this kind of clothes so I tried to put a casual touch with the mustard shirt with a rock print. Otherwise, with a black shirt the outfit would be more serious... I love wearing mustard with black & white, Gucci used these colours some seasons ago and I loved them so much!"

"I'm actually a person who seldom wear colors. But when I DO wear colors, I usually go super bright. Usually I just pick a dress/piece with a stunning color, but for this outfit, I somehow felt like wearing bright colors all the way. It feels really uplifting when wearing bright colors!"

"I never really wear bold colors, but this maxi dress is the exception! It is one of the most comfortable dresses I own because of the jersey material. I added the yellow heels to pump up the outfit even more, but in order to bring it back to a normal level, the black leather biker jacket does the trick. Lots of color is great, but you have to handle it with care and not go overboard... unless that's your thing. So creating a good balance is essential."

"I am usually a very monotone girl but eye catching and vibrant colours such as red, hot pink, and electric blue still play a very important role in my wardrobe. I love basics! A bright boyfriend blazer, a basic tank dress, a clutch , and a pair of platform hi top converse will just make my day!"

"I'm a big fan of color! Especially of the color combination red, white & blue. This color becomes my obsession every summer and reminds me of my childhood.Red, white & blue, for me, speaks of summer fun and daytime delights. And speaking of delights, these shoes are a major one. They were rescued from a Goodwill, perfectly mint, and are the most comfortable wedges ever. Like the dress, they have a bold graphic print, only this time in blue & white. The purse, some swag from a Lancome cosmetic promotion was found in a thrift store for $2. Makes a perfect purse and a great finish for my ensemble."

Bella

Color block skirt from Topshop, t-shirt from T by Alexander Wang, black leather ankle boots from Newlook, scarf from H&M, bag that she made herself.

"In the fall and winter I wear a lot of dark colors but when the trees getting green, flowers blooming and when the sun comes out behind the clouds I need to wear colorful items!

Spring and summer are giving me more energy and I feel much better when the sun shines on my face. So then I want to wear more positive colors. I love to combine bright colors with some basic colors because I don't want to look like a clown. I think you must wear colors in moderation to achieve a unique and fashionable look."
