Farniente: Luncheon on the Grass

What's more romantic than an outdoor picnic? In the warm months of summer, we live outdoors, and it's more than enjoyable to finally eat outside! HYPEED's members stay stylish with their pastoral and romantic picnic looks!

This atmosphere is exactly in the same spirit than Les dissonances jewels! Sandra, the creator of the brand, makes the most poetic jewellery. Her creations are feminine, delicate, but, most of all, easy to wear! Least and Leeloo are the lucky winners of a Les dissonances set of jewels!

Leeloo knows how to be stylish and at ease at a picnic: a pretty romper, colorful bangles and a hat to stay protected from the sun! She is Sandra's crush, so she wins of set of jewels by Les dissonances. Lucky girl!

"For my picnic on the lawn I decided to wear something light, and almost nautical. I'm really into nautical vintage style lately, blue and white stripes, anchor pins, white dresses, and red lipstick all the way! I sewed my dress myself out of a vintage tablecloth - which I know may not be the most conventional way to get oneself a perfect white dress, but, it ensured a fit and style I love, as well as little vintage details a dress today might not have!"

Least

Striped shirt from Old Navy, Bongo shoes she picked up at a thrift store for $10, watch necklace also picked up second hand, vintage earrings, pearl hair clips from Walmart, a vintage hat, and ladies gloves

"I built the set myself - brick by brick and heavy branches galore. I wanted to evoke a depression era hobo feel, but with some genteel luxuries they might not have had. I know it was one of the most memorable afternoons I've ever spent on the lawn, and probably was for the neighbors watching the crazy woman next door too!"

"It was my 6th wedding anniversary. While on our way out to dinner, we came across this open field with a random structure built in the middle of it. It was so beautiful to us that we had to stop and enjoy it. If we had it our way we would have had dinner there instead of in a diner. It was peaceful and a perfect place for a picnic."    Victoria

"I went to this place (the Laceno countryside, about one hour from my town, Naples) because my boyfriend had some things to do there, so we decided to do a funny trip with a picnic included. I love picnics so much! I had bought a useful cool backpack with accessories included: dishes, glasses, cutlery... everything in plastic and re-usable because leaving less rubbish is very important during a lunch in nature, don't you think? Our planet earth is amazing so we should keep it clean"

Myriam

Stephanie's look is perfect for a day in the sun. The dress is light, and she's protected from the sun with her oversized sunglasses and straw hat!

How cool is it to have a fancy Chanel picnic basket? I'm not sure it'll make the food taste better, but it surely gives Ilaria Ginevra a killer style!

"To me eating outdoors is the epitome of summer. You get to kick off your shoes and go barefoot in the grass, evoking memories from childhood.  The food is fresh and flavorful, often plucked at its height of perfection straight from the garden.  Outdoor dining is laid back as summers are.  A time to relax and enjoy the company of friends and loved ones.  Of course, a cute outfit couldn't hurt."                                            Rebecca Jean

"Farniente is my favorite word! When I was a little girl, every week end, my parents prepared a picnic and we went in a lavender field nearby. I love the serenity of a picnic."        Aude

"I love chilling in the yard with a good book (this one is a french novel by Simenon), enjoying the breeze and the fresh air while eating some milk and cookies. The countryside around my house is so peaceful and quiet that it almost feel like time has stopped: no cars, no noises, just birds singin' and the shimmering summer sun above me."   Holly

"I wore this outfit to a 4th of July picnic at a friend's house. The dress was perfect because it is so lightweight and it was about 90 degrees out! Picnics are a favorite past time of mine because I get to spend time with those that I care about and indulge in delicious foods."

Barbro Andersen looks like a princess from a modern fairy tale with her high hair bun, cute blouse and super high heels.

When the sunlight starts to fade, the atmosphere in the forest is the most romantic. Doina seems so peaceful!

For a sunny picnic in the gardens of Versailles palace, I, Slanelle, chose to wear a cute red dress with white polka dots, and braid my hair. You can get my look in the next page!

"I love being surrounded by nature, especially in summer. Nature keeps you down to earth I think, it brings you back to what's really important, it gets you out of the hysterical life everyone is living. I seriously love it. Thats why, in summer, I love to do things outside, like picnics or sports. I think that an outdoor picnic is also the number one best first date someone can get. People should do it more often!"   Irene

At the end of the afternoon, the picnic is over, but there is still time to enjoy nature, like Paula, who enjoys the last rays of sun.
