Our cover girl, June, mixes the freshness of her DIY floral dress with the punk aspect of her Doc Martens boots. Sweet and vivid!

"Flowers are definitely a hit this season, but not real flowers like last year. I think this season it's more abstract floral patterns like we've seen on Stella Mc Cartney 2010 spring collection", explains June.

For Stefania, flowers are first and foremost a matter of state of mind...

"Here in Italy it's still very cold, but I want... I need sun! So, with this floral dress, I wanted to express my solar mood! However, I don't think floral dresses are THE trend of the season. Military style and denim are summer must haves though.
Every girl has a floral dress not because it's fashion, but because it expresses her freedom!"

Adenorah 's style is subtly composed with a balanced mix of vintage and modern garments. The result is always surprising and original.

"I love juggling with vintage and new pieces found in department stores.
In this set of photos, I was originally looking for a spring inspired outfit. My goal was to handle both the ultra-sexy aspect of the over the knee boots and the lightness and innocence of the floral pattern. I think flowers can adapt to any kind of piece, from a jacket or shoes, to a little dress. But if I had to pick the floral must have, I'd go for a dress."

Mini-flowers and vibrant colors, Victoire 's flounced dress sets her directly in a summer mood! Add a pair of authentic Wayfarer sunglasses with an oversized necklace and it will rock any summer style with a touch of glam'!

"This specific dress is one of my most recent purchases, I got it in London a month ago and I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Not only because of the flowers and the colours that make you think of good weather and summer fun, but also because of the details of the back, which turn what apparently is an ordinary dress into a very special piece.
Considering I am a huge fan of the floral trend it's obvious that for me it is the hit of the season, along with the navy trend. So I'm extremely happy that florals are here to stay. And the good thing about this trend is that you don't necessarily have to look all girly. You can give it a twist if you mix it with a great leather jacket or some combat boots. And you can't deny it: florals instantly get you in a happy mood and they scream summer all the way."

Unlike the regular floral dresses we can find in stores, Bea's outfit is clearly inspired by the floral trend but used in a different way. Flowers are big and luminous for a chic and vintage look.

"I personally love the floral trend, it's an elegant yet funny trend, and it flatters everyone. Even if it is too obvious for spring, I guess this trend is also adapted for the cold cold days, and it should definetly stay way longer.
I believe every girl's closet should have a floral dress, right next to the LBD. It is such a feminine piece and for me it has become a basic.
I made this skirt myself, it was the first thing I ever sewed!"

It's usually delicate to combine several floral pieces in a single outfit. But Elyza amazingly mixed a floral shirt with floral shoes and even floral hair accessories. Her secret? First, the pastel and discrete flowers are associated with a vibrant blue. And second, the color of her original sarouel pants matches perfectly the flowers and is definitely eye-catching. Strategic choices!

"I've always loved flowery clothes and I was very delighted when I realized floral patterns would became one of the new trend! I found lots of sweet flowery stuff I'm looking forward to buy more, from sunglasses to socks!
In my opinion, the must have pieces of this trend are surely shirts and tops, worn with any kind of jeans during the day and with studded jacket for a night out!"

Bye bye monotony!

"With spring comes romance, excitement and new life. I definitley feel that the floral trend is romantic and when you're wearing it you do feel that twinge of excitement about what is to come.
Wearing florals in muted colours in spring is a great way to get ready for the bright and bold colours of summer!
I think the ultimate statment piece for this trend is the BIG hair flower, it's a great way to make any outfit more romantic, and it doesn't cost much to get the look."

Layered on a grey dress, Magali 's floral top is perfectly emphasized by her neutral boyfriend jacket. she explains :

"I was inspired to mix a floral print and a nude color palette for a vintage mood."

Floral patterns aren't always fresh and sweet. Annachiara 's long hippie-flowery dress, paired with wooden and golden accessories give an chic and ethnic style!

"I love floral dresses because they are very solar... This pattern is easy to wear and very versatile. The floral dress is always fashion!"

Magali 's flowery blouse perfectly illustrates how the floral pattern can add a feminine touch to a rock'n roll style. The perfecto is almost unavoidable with flowers, this season.

"This trend has already nearly become a classic for spring-summer seasons. They are used in many forms, from a pattern for a piece of clothing, fabric for shoes or bags, to a piece of jewelry or accessory. They are modern and complex, used as 'painterly' effects for some designers, or more graphic shapes for others. There is a big variety of floral pieces of clothing but my favorite for this season is a dress or a long shirt that covers the body."
