Leather Fever

They're an absolute wardrobe staple this fall and will certainly still rock our outfits this winter. Seen on Chloe's catwalk last season, leather shorts have made a surprising come back. Forget what they were usually associated with (fetishism, mostly), and embrace the new style they enhance! "I made these shorts in August, and have actually been wearing them a lot - but I just realized I've never shown them to my online friends before. That's so weird! This is my first successful DIY-project, I think - or rather, the biggest one I've done. Sure, I make small changes to hem-lines, cut of stuff and add some personal touches to a lot of things - but this DIY-thingy actually involved tools and some planning. I got these ones in Retro City in Madrid, and there was a great selection to choose from. I added a heart printed cardigan to give it a bit more colour and to make the outfit a little bit softer considering black leather usualy adds a bit of a 'dominatrix' touch, which I love, but I was feeling a litlle bit girly that day..."

"Leather = fall to me. Since I live in the tropics all year long it's hard to wear leather without the sweat, so when I saw these leather shorts, I didn't think twice I just paid for them. So I guess by having some leather pieces in my outfit, I have more "fall/winter" mood in the midst of the heat.
