Let's Get Ready To Ruffle!
Fashionistas love ruffles for several reasons. Yes, of course they're a pretty ornament, but also, they make us feel like a different person. It's like playing dress up. With ruffles, we can be a princess, a child, a flamenco dancer, and many more!

"I love to dress up from different time periods or to make something a bit more modern but make it look like an older period of time. For this outfit I was trying to capture the 1890s-1910s style based off of photos I've seen of mail-order brides to homestead on the frontier in the mid-west, USA during that time. Of course my dress is styled similarly but was made in the 1970s (and is much shorter than the style worn back in the 1890s-1910s). I played with my hair to match the period I was trying to capture. Now who says old-fashioned can't still be fashionable today?" Victoria

"Romance is in the air especially when peeking into the world of the ruffle trend. I love the buoyant texture, idealistic and dreamy feel of this nude, transparent dress. These images are enhanced with a similar breezy and fairy-tale echoing detail. Ruffles are frothy and feminine…to release that inner hopeless romantic." Karin
"I always liked ruffles because they have a dreamy quality . I try to consider my life as a fairytale or a wonderful story. Every dress and outfit that I wear is part of it." Ruby
