The second stop of our Fashion Tour was Lee Klabin. Beautiful dresses that enhances feminity in a edgy, almost gothic way. No wonder why Dita Von Teese or Patricia Field are fans! (One of Lee's corset was featured in S&TC 1!)
The Lee Klabin woman is inspired by Fashion, but with a beauty that comes from within, allowing all her imperfections to become her seductive attraction. Our bloggers discovered the brand with amazement , and show you their favorite pieces.
The Lee Klabin brand is charming, exciting and fun. It plays on humour and the interaction between a woman, her wardrobe and her 'voyeurs'.
Pauline,
This collection is not simply an introduction to the high-end fashion market but also a fresh take on the world of fashionable technology with pieces that sustain defined tailored proportion within a wearable approach. Lee designs clothes that draw attention to the cinching and accentuating of a woman’s body.
Elodie
Lee is forever looking for new ways to fuse the beauty of traditional tailoring, with modern femininity. Using boning in a unique and creative way is just the start.
Natalia,
Using the most raw materials from the corset’s structure, Klabin has broken down the traditional corset into its purest components and evolved it into three dimensional, structured forms. Running boning through panels and seams, and twisting them throughout the garments, morphs the previously standard silhouette into a sculptured modern expression of femininity. With hidden depths of textures and tones, her collections are for the fashion forward woman.
"I wanted to start at the raw guts of the corset, to play on its constrictive sculpturing aspects and then evolve them into a modern interpretation of femininity. Wherever there is a new abstract and flattering way to evolve,
I will pursue it..."
Lee Klabin.
Vanessa,
"There is, and will always be a strong association between corsetry and seduction playing on our curves, that it would almost be ‘unnatural’ to ignore it!"
