Shoulder pads were a bad memory from the 80s, until Balmain gave them a modern and cool twist! Now oversized and more daring, the peaked shoulders give structure to the feminine silhouette!

"When I came home for christmas after spending 6 months in London, I walked into my favourite french fashion store and picked up a lovely little sailor shirt with gorgeous details on the shoulders. I thought I was being so cool and original. I walked out and started noticing that ACTUALLY ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE was wearing the same shirt here. Peaked shoulders

For this shoot, Bella explains:

"We ended up on an obscure road that led only to fields of corn and unexplainable light falling over us like curtains. But finally, my sharp-shoulder infatuation has been commemorated."

Maria fell in love with Balmain's power shoulder dress, but couldn't find in the store something similar. So, what did she do? She made her own dress! How brilliant!
