When it comes to denim shorts, something that barely ever happens in fashion actually does happen: we all agree. Just read what our members have to say, and you'll notice several points raised again and again: the best denim shorts are vintage, and for a perfect fit, do it yourself by cutting old jeans.
In this first part of our fashion feature dedicated to the perenially fashionable denim shorts, we'll focus on the perfect vintage shorts (the one which who seems to be sewed on your body). We'll also take a look at how to wear cut offs and ripped denim shorts!
The perfect vintage shorts

"These shorts I made because I've been craving for a pair of highwaisted shorts, but I couldn't find the right edgy type, so I went on the hunt and found a pair of jeans at Goodwil that I cut. They are truly vintage, the fabric is so strong and I'm sure I'll be wearing these pair all summer long, they go with every summer top that I own and I feel like I'm in "Dazed & Confused" with Matthew McConaughey and those 60's girls dressing up so hipster at all times! I love them!"

"The denim cut offs are vintage Levis 501 and I cut them myself. The Rolling Stones tee is a few years old now and I also cut this as I felt it was more edgy cropped. I always live in my denim cut offs in the summer, they go with anything and give me that laid back rock chick look that I love so much."

When celebrities got it wrong
Rihanna should have followed HYPEED members example and kept it simple! The ensemble would have been chic and nice, but the "socks" are a bit much.
