When I was younger, I was taught never to wear socks with sandals. Socks were reserved for sports shoes. Later on, the trend of socks and heels blossomed on the fashion blogs and I was reluctant to it. Jenny Humphrey rocked the chic-schoolgirl look in the first season of Gossip Girl. Last summer I found myself wearing medium-length socks in a pair of brogues and that's when I fell in love with this trend. My favorite socks to wear in such a look are the ones pictured above, a pair of no-name peach ones.
