You can leave your hat on!
Protecting your pretty face from the sun has never been as fashionable as this summer! It all started as a duty, but it's actually a fashion statement!
There's a hat for everybody: in the first part of our hat fashion feature, we'll see how to wear the oh so chic capeline without being overdressed. But if capelines are too wide and wild for you, you can still wear the boater hat, the trendiest headgear of the season!

"Everytime I wear this hat, I somehow feel more 'special' and 'magical'. The hat makes any simple outfit more summery and whimsical... Plus no facial tan lines with the wide brim :)"
"I chose to wear this hat because I was headed to the italian riviera with friends, and in my opinion, the Italian riviera simple calls for large hats and large sunglasses. That hat feels so glamorous to wear, so I decided to pair it with a simpler summer outfit to give it a modern feel."

but with a noticeable twist: Marine's large straw hat is perfect for the beach AND for the city!

The Editor's crush!
So trendy!
Anne Laure is the coolest girl in town with her faded grey shirt, romantic white skirt and rock'n'roll boots! We love the accessories: the gold and large bangle, the cross necklace, and, of course, the boater hat!
Bel Air short denim skirt, Topshop crop top and ballet pumps. Marc by Marc Jacobs Hoodie and H&M boater hat
"This was the first day in Paris the sun actually decided to burn hot and it was lovely, I just enjoyed the heat and let the holiday mood sink in!!!"
When celebrities get it wrong
Agyness Deyn's boater hat may be a little ... flat.
Sometimes, it's not the hat, it's the way you wear it. Lady Gaga should maybe have kept it simple... Okay, "simple" and "Gaga" are two words that don't go together at all!
Thank you to all participants!
