Summer Essentials: jewels & watches!

Very often, we either are a jewel-addict, or love to be minimalist and wear only one single ring. We all apprehend jewellery differently, and we all have a way to make an outfit unique by accessorizing it in our own way.

It's interesting to see how almost all the jewels I picked for these fashion feature are either heirlooms, or inheritance, or have a very interesting history: they come from an exotic trip in a foreign country, or were picked on a special occasion. What does your jewellery say about you?

Laure has grunge manners indeed. Leopard scarf around her head, skull one around her wrist, a studded customized denim jacket... her heavy jewellery underlines it all, with a multitude of silver bangles and an almost gothic rosary, Laure is ROCK'N'ROLL!

Ilaria Ginevra may be wearing the same scarf than Laure, but her style is more glamourous, with her oversized sunglasses and her perfectly combed hair. Her rock'n'roll rings (as you'll see on the next page) match the print of the scarf and shirt, so "Rock Chic" best describes her look!

"All the jewelry is vintage. I don't have pierced ears, so I have to rely on thrift/antique stores clip-on earrings if I want to bedazzle my ears. I was trying to pep up my skate laces since I couldn't find any pretty color laces that were long enough, so I thought of clipping some of my earrings onto them. Some of the earrings are my great grandma's and my mom's, so they're very special to me."
