The Moschino belt investigation
At HYPEED, we felt puzzled about the Moschino belt trend. Who started it? Where to get it? We asked these questions to stylish bloggers, and here are their stories!

"I bought my first Moschino belt (white with golden letters) when I was 14. Not because I was inspired by anyone but because I loved the look of it. I then decided to buy the second one (black with golden letters) when the white one lost an "0" at a wild party a couple of years ago.
I bought the white in Italy and the black through eBay. Both of them were affordable. Reason? Second hand."

"I first saw this belt on Stephanie from Anywho.dk and ever since then I have been obsessed... I got the belt on EBAY, after a long period of 6 months of searching I finally found it, I went through a bidding WAR! but won it in the end. I ended up paying about 150€ though! :S I wear it all the time! I love it!!!!"

"It is vintage and was bought brand new back in the late 80's in NYC when Moschino was still alive.
Camilla mostly wears it now pretty much with jeans or belted over a jacket like the fur one in the photo."
"I got that belt in my wardrobe already for a few years and I got it in 3 colours as it's a "heirloom" from my mom :) Found them in a huge box a few years ago and I right away fell in love with them. When my mom bought the belts 20 years ago when she was about 20 years old, she paid 98 dollars for it :) haha"
"I live in a rather small and unfashionable town, where these belt are pure eyecatchers! Of course the people know them, but in my area, you can't get them anywhere appart from the flea market, where they are not in a good quality anymore. I think i will always keep them because I am not good in leaving clothes behind ^^ I always think that there will come a day when I will wish that I hadn't sold them because they became fashionable again :) ... just like it was with my mom. She kept them and now I can wear them."
"I've always been a big fan of everything vintage. So when I found this cult belt from ebay i just couldnt help myself. I think I saw the belt first in some editorial, mixed with current it items & vintage.
I will never sell it! It so timeless and chic - and you can wear it with a party dress or more casual way and it always looks like million bucks."
"I have wanted the Moschino belt for years! But then I think I saw it on Rumi (Fashiontoast) and I started to do some research on Ebay. I dont remember the price, but it was okay. Not too expensive. I still love to wear it... with leather shorts, denim and dresses. Love it!"
"It's a great belt! I actually found it in a charity shop not long ago with my mum and I snapped it up for an amazing £4.50. I had never thought about buying one before, it was never an item I pursued, but it's an iconic belt and it instantly adds a little something to every outfit. I don't remember where I saw the belt first, it's not one of those pieces that came about through one blogger showing it off. For me its a timeless piece like the Louis Vuitton print, it'll never go out of style. I still have the belt, however I did think about selling it just because I have rent due!"
"First of all I have to say I didn't buy any of my Moschino belts. My grandmother gave both Moschino belts to me a few years ago. It's strange because I have two of them but always use one, the black one. The other one is red/orange... At the time, no one knew about the brand, but women always asked where they could buy this beauty. At this time I didn't know that it would be such a 'hyped' accessory.
So my Moschino belts are a heirloom and always remember me of my very stylish grandmother. :)
I still have it and would never sell it, I'm still wearing it as a little accessory to spice up my outfit because these belts can do a small miracle with every single outfit you're wearing. So if you're thinking, that your outfit is looking a bit boring and you have this belt in your closet, take it and you will feel much better!"

"I wanted the belt cause I think it's really classy-looking. I wear mostly vintage and it felt like a nice piece to add to my wardrobe and add some 'designer' touch. I'd seen it around streetstyle and fashionblogs but I wouldn't know on who specifically.
My boyfriend got it for me at a vintage/antiques store in Brussels. I had seen it and wanted it, and then he went behind my back and got it for me. I'm not sure how much he ended up paying for it."

"For the first time I saw that Andy from Stylescrapbook was wearing the belt. Then one day, I was at a flea market and I saw the belt but unfortunately he was too big for me. So then, I visited the website 'Kleiderkreisel.de' (Similar to Ebay) and I saw that a girl sold the same belt in S for 25€. Immediately I ordered it! Now I wear it really often."

"We had never thought of buying this belt. We were in The Backstage, a vintage store in Toulouse, France, and Paula saw it on a shelve. She just fell in love with it in a second, and I thought that it was great! We bough it for 80 euros. We are loving it so much"

"I really don't remember where I saw this belt for the first time but immediatley I knew one day I would own it myself. And I think after seeing Andy Torres wearing this belt the urge to have it grew even stronger. She styled it so well!
I bought the belt in a vintage shop in Barcelona. On every citytrip I go I have to go to a vintage shop! And I still remember when I came into the store and saw this belt hanging on a shelf. I really couldn't believe my eyes! So immediately I grabbed it so nobody could take it from me. Its price was €30, which I think was a bargain. I tried to buy one on Ebay but they were too expensive so I'm very happy with this amazing find.
I think it's really a versatile item in my wardrobe. With this belt you can spice up your whole outfit."

"After investigating on the Moschino belt for this fashion feature, and seeing stylish bloggers rocking it, of course I had to have it! I went online and couldn't afford it on Ebay, so I checked on Priceminister, and there it was! I couldn't believe my eyes, it was only 25€! I feel so lucky to have it, because it's vintage and no one can buy it new. I wear it with all types of outfit, from very rock'n'roll denim shorts to sweet and cute dress!"
