Top of the Crops

Who would have thought the crop tops would come back from the 80s ? But, let's face it, what trend has not yet come back from this era? We should have been ready, but when we least expected it, belly buttons were fashionable again.

It's hard to define precisely what a crop top is. Okay, yes, a crop top is supposed to be any kind of top above your belly button. But, I mean, when does the crop top ends and the regular tee begins?

The definition being somehow blurry, we've decided to count as a crop top any top that you can't tuck in your pants. Our members show that they can easily adapt this trend to modern days. Crop tops become girly, fun, and never vulgar!

Funky Crops

"I bought this crop top from a local store which  is basically designed by Indonesian Fashion Blogger.
What I love the most is the color and the unique design with the longer hem at the back side.
I love wearing it cause it is so comfortable and really suitable for many casual occasion.
Not to mention the fact that, it is not so sexy and still wearable, cause I am kind of uncomfortable wearing clothes that show too much skins.
It took me a month to purchase this top cause when I ordered, it was actually out of stock."

"I absolutely love this cropped top because it combines the cute Minnie character with the slightly sexy style of the cropped T. I'm a true believer of pairing up cropped tops with high-wasted bottoms for a complete look. These photos were taken on a Sunday. My friend Carlis and I have a Sunday ritual - brunch followed by exploration of our city and SpicyCandy shoot :) it hasn't failed us yet!"

Rebecca, a.k.a. Style with Benefits:

"Crop tops give me an excuse to pull out my high-waisted jeans or hike up my skirts well above my waist.  As a kid, I used to wear crop tops all the time back in the 80's and love the flirty vibe they present.  I like to keep my look balanced though so if I'm wearing a crop top, I'll balance the look out with an oversized sweater, such as this one from H&M."

"I never thought anyone would have caught me dead wearing a top which casually displays my belly button. Crop tops remind me of the glorious Sex and the City era and I must admit although I desperately adore her, most of Carrie's 90s outfits made me cringe -especially those were she was flaunting a crop top. But times change and when crop tops made a mahusive come back this season I did immediately want one... not to wear with a pair of mini shorts to look like a Californian beach babe but to give a bit of a girly twist to my more boyish outfits."
