There was a time when Melanie Griffith in Working Girl was the reference. But dark and strict suits are no longer the unique working style for women. Fashion infiltrated any kind of profession. One reason for it is that original and trendy styles are often a way to assert one's personality or ambition. It demonstrates creativity and makes the difference in terms of image.

Coco Chanel's advice is more than ever relevant: "The First Impression is the last one you make. Make it a good one!"

Students, financial, education or accounting sectors, you don't need to work in the clothing industry to express your fashion creativity within the work sphere.

French blogger Morgane, our cover girl, shared with us the philosophy of her working style: "I love mixing improbale pieces together, like a shirt with a this pink and black floral blaser. I'm lucky to be a designer assistant and by definition my collegues are pretty open-minded when it comes to fashion. But it doesn't mean that we get the perfect and original outfit every morning! Back to what I'm wearing in this picture, it's almost what I could call my uniform when I have a serious meeting for example. It allows me to be taken seriously by the clients while showing the creativity inherent to my job. Acutally my outfit says 'Yes I'm a business woman but I'm also cool!'"

Natasha's sophisticated working style expresses professionalism and feminity

"Basically this outfit was mostly inspired by the trousers! I have been wanting a pair of these high-waisted business like trousers that are narrow at the ankle for a while now! And then by luck I found them on sale in Zara! So basically, these trousers work best with chunky platform heels, and the frilly blouse is just to add a more feminine touch to the whole outfit...

... At the moment however, I don't work! I am a student and a part-time model... But this would definitely be something that I could see myself wearing everyday if I had a job. This outfit isn't necessarily just a working girl outfit, but also something, which personally, I wear to go out for dinner or some cocktails!"

In this series of pictures, Kira's basic shirt paired with mini-shorts combine two must-haves in a very chic way. The high heels, dark tights and carry-all leather bag embody the perfect winning trio while the the golden accessories (belts and jewels) give a classy touch. But for Kira, it all comes naturally as a part of her job.

"I am freelance journalist and a columnist at www.leiamoda.com.br. I work at home, but I am always going to out to press conferences about new products and clothes. At these meetings, I try to look professional, but in a cool way. After all, I work in fashion! In this series of pictures, it has all to do with this philosophy: a professional approach, but with an edgy twist."

June who is a student majoring in accounting wears a DIY blazer with a dotted Paul Smith shirt that she actually got at the flea market!

Classic but trendy thanks to the perfect tailored pieces, June's work style mixes perfectly chic and serious.

"I wear outfits like this one every Monday, because I work as assistant professor at the accounting computer labs. But in normal days I just wear a tee and jeans", explained June that also has her own shoes line called June+Julia.

Who said accounting was not glamour?

Her classical working outfit takes a brand new dimension with her studded hight heels and her sparkling zebra-patterned clutch.

Clara definitely gets the perfect balance between classy-formal and glam'.

"I work as a financial controller, so I usually dress in a very formal way for work. Cigarrette trousers, embellished coats and high heels as wearing in the pics are the typical pieces that compose my working outfits."

Carla has the sense for details!

"We both work as freelance stylists and are in the process of creating our own sustainable clothing and jewelry line SO comfort is key... but comfort shouldn't take away from style...

... Some days; we'll be seen in sky high heels and all black, other days we are barefooted in florals running around paining canvases. Our jobs give us total creative freedom... thats the pure joy of every morning. We dress how we feel and are blessed to feel how ever we want to each and every day."

Black and white is a basic when it comes to working styles. But with our member SabbyV, it takes a new dimension.

The black boyfriend jacket paired with a stripped fluid skirt make her so feminine and charming. And because details matter the high waist belt and the emerald green clutch bring originality in the blink of an eye!
